HUGHES, Ted.

Rare books by Ted Hughes, including first edition and signed first edition copies of Crow, The Iron Man, and Tales from Ovid.

Ted Hughes (1930–1998) was a British poet laureate and the husband ofSylvia Plath. His first poem, “The Little Boys and the Seasons” was published in Granta in 1954, the same year that he graduated from Cambridge. In 1956 he and a group of friends founded the short-lived literary magazine the St. Botolph’s Review, the first (and only) issue of which contained four poems by Hughes.
