To which is Added An Appendix, Containing two Discourses: The one, of the Generation of Animals; And the other, of the Motion of the Chyle, and the Circulation of the Bloud.
    First edition of "the first book in English on equine anatomy" (Garrison-Morton), a handsome folio printed in large paper format. The author (fl. 1660-1683) was serjeant farrier to King Charles II, to whom the book is dedicated. The illustrations appeared first, for the most part, in Carlo Ruini's Anatomia (1598). The appendix on the generation of animals derives from William Harvey, with acknowledgements. Learn More
