Schiele, Egon

Signed and limited edition prints, artist proof prints and rare works by Egon Schiele.

Egon Schiele (1890-1918) was a student of Gustav Klimt and the enfant maudit of the Austrian Secessionist movement in Vienna. He produced many naked and clothed self-portraits and is well-know for his images of women, which were criticised by his contemporaries as being too explicit. His stark style, twisted figures demonstrate that he is an early proponant of expressionism. Schiele died from Spanish Flu in 1918.
