Joan Miro (1893-1983) was born in Barcelona into a family of goldsmiths and cabinet-makers. He moved to Paris during the 20’s and became one of the main figures of the Surrealist movement despite living in deep poverty. From this period are his most evocative and poetic works, which are widely reproduced and can be found in the main international museums and major private collections.
