Terry Frost was an abstract painter who started painting as a prisoner of war in Germany during 1943. After the war he moved to St. Ives and then studied at the Camberwell School of art in 1947. In 1951 he became an assistant to Barbara Hepworth and went on to exhibit in London and New York. In 1992, Frost was elected as a Royal Academician.
