Dali, Salvador

Signed limited edition prints, artists proofs and rare prints by Salvador Dali, including The Persistence of Memory, Shirley Temple..., The Earthly Paradise, and an array of limited edition drypoint etchings.

Salvador Dali (1904-1989) created, perhaps, the most popular images of the 20th Century. Melting clocks, burning figures, interiors in the shape of a famous star, highly polished figurative images and some highly erotically charged images have become part of daily designs and publicity. Dali, was associated with the most innovative side of the avant-gardes, was working in Spain with member of the local artistic scene like Garcia Lorca or Luis Buñuel before visiting France. In Paris, he was soon enrolled in the Surrealist movement. He will not only shocked the French bourgeois with his paintings and films, but will earn the animosity of Andre Breton who called Dali ‘Avida Dollars’ after altering Salvador Dali’s name.
