Original copperplates for In Powder and Crinoline;
the image entitled "'I have had such a terrible dream,' she declared..."
Original copperplates made for the four-colour separation process used to produce the final image published opposite p. 100 in the book. This remarkable survival shows Nielsen’s painstaking artistic technique in building up the four-colour process (Rackham used a three-colour process) to produce the rich and complex illustrations for his deluxe books.
