A highly attractive Speed’s map with a plan of Norwich illustrated with a battle scene and commentaries of the two rebellions: the Peasant’s Revolt in 1381 and Ket’s Rebellion in 1547. The map is embellished down the left side with coats of arms of the Earls of Norfolk. The title is shown within an open book. First published in 1611, today the work of John Speed is regarded highly by map collectors, historians and artists, due to the intricate nature and artistic beauty of the maps.
