A pleasant plan of the historically important and significant north German city of Hamburg. The city was a prominent member of the influential “Hanseatic League”, a late Middle-Ages trading alliance of Baltic and northern European cities, between the thirteenth and the seventeenth centuries. Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany, and is the third largest port in Europe. This detailed plan was published in Bradshaw’s “Plans of the most important Cities and Towns of Continental Europe…”

Size: 230 375 mm. Lithograph with later hand colour. Good condition. Paper is limp. Folds as issued. Some restoration to lower left margin.
