Stowe House in Buckinghamshire was once the magnificent country seat of the Dukes of Buckingham and Chandos however, since 1923, it has been an independent public school. Stowe is renown for its wonderful and extensive gardens. Among the many famous architects and garden designers who have worked on Stow were: Robert Adam, Sir John Vanburgh and Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.
