A delightful small early eighteenth century view of the town of Elgin, situated by the River Lossie in Morayshire in northern eastern Scotland. Elgin has a ruined thirteenth century cathedral on Lady Hill, and the town itself was a popular residence of the early Scottish Kings. Published in the multi-volume work entitled “Les Delices de la Grande Bretagne & L’Irlande”.
