This magnificent print shows a chaotic street scene with the bleary-eyed King’s Guards being rounded up after nights of debauchery, in September 1745. They are about to defend London from Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Copper engraving. Uncoloured. Very good condition. The print itself is crisp and clean, margins are a little narrow, top and lower edges have been cropped, some of the title at lower margin is missing. Size: 54 x 41 cm. (21 x 16 inches)
