William Alexander was an English artist who was attached to Lord MacCartney’s expedition to China. The marvellous work he produced was published in George Staunton’s Account of the expedition in 1797. Copper engraving. Uncoloured. Very wide margins, Slightly darkened towards edges, not affecting the clean and crisp image. Fine condition. Size: 22.5 x 17.5 cm.
