A New Map of Great Britian
according to the newest and latest observations by Herman Moll, Geographer.
This is a large scale and detailed map of the newly united ‘Great Britain’, comprising: England, Wales and Scotland. The eastern third of Ireland is also engraved. Moll’s extensive map shows all major roads and highways, together with the mileage in between. Each separate county is coloured in outline. Moll sacrifices decorative embellishments for simple practicality with this map. There are two compass roses and an inset of the Orkney (partial) and the Shetland Islands. Moll completes his map with lengthy textural notes and a plain boxed title. Published in the ‘New and Compleat Atlas’.
