A View of London as it was in the year 1647.
[Vue de Londres comme il etoit dans L'An 1647.]
This wonderful, large panorama of a pre-fire London, taken from the south bank of the River Thames, looking north, closely resembles Wenceslas Hollar ‘s bird’s eye view of the city. Title in both English and French; keys 1-34 and 1-20 along the base of the panorama. This is a most impressive an important plan, showing an extraordinary wealth of detail and of engraving skill. The extent of the panorama is from Westminster Abbey in the west to beyond The Tower of London in the east.
