A delightful small late eighteenth century view of the North Yorkshire city of Ripon. Ripon is known for its cathedral, its racecourse and its thriving market. The present twelfth-century cathedral is said to be the fourth on the site, the first dating back to the seventh century. The print is accompanied by its original sheet of descriptive text.
