Marcus Éliéser Bloch was born in 1723 in Anspach. He spent the earlier part of his career as a physician, studying intestinal worms. Dr. Rush - a contemporary mezzotint portrait.

Washed, old hygroscopic tidemarks visible on verso, colour a little flat, but overall very good.
Extremely uncommon. Oval half length, right profile portrait, within rectangular border, title in elaborate calligraphic-style type.
