Emma Doyle

Emma acts as point-of-contact for The Chelsea Bindery. She also manages the Peter Harrington restoration department.

Bill manley

Bill Manley

Bill started his apprenticeship in 1978 at Zaehnsdorf in finishing and fine binding. He became a full-time finisher in 1983 and when Zaehnsdorf was taken over by Shepherds in 1998 he was Manager of the Finishers until he left in 2000 to set up The Chelsea Bindery. He now works as our Head Finisher.

Laura ridoni

Laura Ridoni

Laura did her conservation training in Italy and, on completion, did an internship at the London Guildhall and Metropolitan Archives in 2007, followed by an internship at the British Library. Laura takes care of all our restoration work as well as carrying out all of the preparatory stages of book binding.

Tony smith

Tony Smith

Tony Smith finished his apprenticeship at Zaehnsdorf in 1990 where he worked until 1998. He joined the Chelsea Bindery as a forwarder in 2000 and is now one of our finishers as well as Bindery Manager.

Trevor Williams

Trevor finished his apprenticeship at Broadway Press in Lewisham in 1964 and joined Zaehnsdorf in 1965 where he eventually became the Production Manager. He left in 1990 to set up his own business and joined The Chelsea Bindery in 2000 where he specialises in box-making and leather forwarding.
