Pom harrington

Pom Harrington

Pom joined the firm straight from school in 1994, working for his father and uncle, who were then trading as Harrington Bros. In 1997 Peter started Peter Harrington Antiquarian Books at 100 Fulham Road, taking Pom with him. In 2000 Pom took over the running of the shop, and after Peter died in 2003, became owner and partner. Pom is married to Liz; they have three young children.

Adam douglas

Adam Douglas

Adam Douglas joined us in September 2005. He read English literature at Bristol University, and started bookselling in 1988 with Simon Finch Rare Books. He is the author of The Beast Within, a study of the werewolf myth. He specialises in literature to the end of the 19th century, history, science, economics, and philosophy.

Adam blakeney

Adam Blakeney

Adam Blakeney is our main specialist in 20th-century literature and photography. He began as an independent bookseller in 1986 and joined us six years ago.



 

Kevin finch

Kevin Finch

Kevin was a freelance printer and independent bookseller before joining us in 1998. He specializes in literature, children’s, photobooks and modern art.



 

Glenn mitchell

Glenn Mitchell

Glenn joined us in 2007 from Maggs Bros, after previously surviving a lengthy apprenticeship in the Charing Cross Road. Glenn has an MA in History from the University of Sussex. He deals in travel and voyages, military and naval history, and jazz.

Pablo pico

Pablo Picó

A native Madrileño, Pablo joined Peter Harrington in 1994, and has worked in all areas of the shop, leading to his current role as web manager. He processes our internet orders and updates our online stock daily, ensuring that we are able to maintain our very high order completion rate.

Joe jameson

Joe Jameson

Joe spent five years with the legendary Guildford bookseller Charles Traylen before joining us in 2000. It is typically his cheery face that greets visitors to our shop. He doesn't like having his picture taken.

Emma doyle

Emma Doyle

After graduating from the University of Sussex, Emma began her career in the book trade with Classic Bindings, before joining us in 2005. She deals in bindings, literary sets, 20th-century literature, and acts as point-of-contact for The Chelsea Bindery. She also manages our restoration department.

Laura massey

Laura Massey

Laura joined us in September 2009 as a cataloguer. She has an MA in the History of the Book from the University of London. Her special interests are science and medicine.

 

Ben Houston

Ben Houston

Ben studied English and American literature at Warwick University and then served four years as bookseller and manager of the Mayfair book dealer consortium Biblion. Ben joined us in August 2010. Among his other roles, he is in charge of fulfilling client wants.
