Leathers

Conventionally called "morocco", the leathers we use are the finest quality vegetable tanned goatskins, most originating from the Kano and Sokato regions of Nigeria. These goatskins are used because of their exceptionally beautiful natural grains and for the time-honoured quality of their tannage.

These colour samples are indicative only. The natural vegetable dyes are subject to slight variation, and the colour photographs here may display differently depending on your monitor's settings.

Papers

We use handmade marbled endpapers. Each sheet is a unique creation, created by dropping water-based paints onto a size where they expand and spread, before a stylus or comb is used to elaborate a distinctive pattern. The wet paint is then carefully transferred to a fresh sheet of paper. 

These are a selection of the main designs we currently have in stock, but we can source other designs on request. Plain endpapers are also available.
