With an introduction by Edmund Wilson.
Second US edition (revised) of Hemingway’s first collection of stories, originally published in Paris in 1924, substantially revised for the Boni & Liveright edition of 1925, and republished here with further revisions and new introductions by both Edmund Wilson and the author, the latter later included as a short story in The First 49 under the title “On the Quai at Smyrna”. A very attractive copy and scarce in unrestored jacket.
Octavo. Original black cloth, gold labels to spine and cover. With the dust jacket. Bookplate, bookseller’s ticket removed from rear pastedown. An excellent, fresh copy in the jacket that is only very lightly rubbed along the edges with tanned spine panel.
