First edition, first printing, of the author’s final novel, in which “A Jewish boy uses his energies and imagination … to rise to the heights of Hollywood in a light comedy set in the early days of the motion picture industry” (Baird and Greenwood, California Fiction, p. 480; Chester is best remembered for Get-Rich-Quick Wallingford, which like many of his books was adapted into a silent film

Octavo. Original red-brown cloth, spine lettered in blue, titles and camera vignette to front board in blue. With the dust jacket. Light toning to edges. An excellent copy in the dust jacket with a couple of small nicks to the front panel and some light spotting towards the edges of the flaps.
