First edition, fourth printing. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: “To Ed, sincerely, Tennessee Williams.” With Tennesse Williams ephemera laid-in, comprising a page of stamps printed with illustrated with Williams’ portrait, a similarly decorated envelope, and a page of typing drills adapted with the term “cocaloony” – a reference to Williams’ play The Gnadiges Fraulein. The book was first published in 1948.

Octavo. Original black cloth, titles to spine in white and in bronze, top edge purple. With the dust jacket. Spine slightly rolled, boards edges a little faded. An excellent copy in the slightly rubbed and creased jacket with some short closed tears to the extremities and tape repairs to verso.
