First edition, special issue, in the special-issue dust jacket, this copy from the Gollancz archive with their ink-stamp to the title-page. American-born journalist Negley Farson, not to be confused with his son of the same name, was “one of the world’s most popular travel writers in the years before the Second World War” (Taylor, Fishing the River of Time, p. 73). Scarce in the dust jacket.

Octavo. Original black cloth, titles to spine gilt. With the dust jacket. Very faint scattered mottling to cloth. A very good copy in the dust jacket with a couple of short nicks to the bottom edge and a small portion of damp-staining to spine.
