(NEW YORK YACHT CLUB)
Constitution, By-laws, Sailing Regulations, &c. of the New York Yacht Club.
Revised, March, 1882.
First edition. The New York Yacht Club was founded in 1844, probably the third such club – after the Narrangansett Boat Club (1838) and the Detroit Boat Club (1839) – founded in the United States, the earliest date for a copy of the constitution that we have been able to trace is 1854. Far from common, this a very nice copy.
