First edition thus, first impression, originally published in a different form by Faber & Faber in 1936. Nash, designer of the dust jacket, earned fame as an enlisted artist during the Great War, and after returning home he became a leader in the British avant-garde and modernist movements. Nash and the author were founding members of Unit One, a group that promoted all types of modern art.

An excellent copy in the lightly rubbed dust jacket rather faded at the spine and with a couple of tiny chips n the spine panel.
