Extra limited edition, one of 15 copies lettered A-O (this copy lettered G) for the author and his collaborators. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author in pencil on the half-title: “à Mr. Morison au bon souvenir, London. April 29”. With, laid-in, an original etched New Year card signed (for 1931) and a charming original etching by Laboureur, showing an artist in plus fours, his bicycle leaning against a tree, sketching some rural buildings. Jean-Émile Laboureur (1877-1943) was a French painter, engraver, and etcher, who contributed illustrations to works by André Maurois, Colette, André Gide, Maurice Maeterlinck, François Mauriac, and others. Rare: Copac records just one copy (V&A) in British and Irish institutional libraries, OCLC adds seven copies worldwide. There was also a regular limited edition of 100 copies only.f

Oblong octavo, pp. 21. Original tan wrappers, lettered in black on front cover. Full-page etching and tail-piece by Emile-Henry Tielemans. Wrappers patchily toned, small marginal stain to a number of leaves. A very good copy.
