READ, Herbert. et al.
First edition, first impression. The author’s scarce monograph on the Surrealist exhibition of June 1936, with essays by André Breton, Hugh Sykes Davies, Paul Éluard, Georges Hugnet. Uncommon in the dust jacket, designed by Roland Penrose, with his now classic photo-montage design with a surreal shell and key over a typographic background.
