The Book of Lovat.
First edition, first impression. One of a limited edition of 150 numbered copies signed by Haldane Macfall on the limitation leaf. Macfall was one of the earliest and strongest supporters of the artist Claud Lovat Fraser, and provided him with one of his first commissions, the illustrations for Macfall’s essay on aesthetics The Splendid Wayfaring. This volume contains a biography of the artist as well as 22 plates from Lovat’s work and numerous illustrations within the next. A handsome production.
