With an introduction by Stuart Gilbert who at Joyce’s request edited the Odyssey Press edition of this novel, generally considered the most authoritative text of the book.

Folio. Original brown cloth decorated in gilt from a design by Le Roy Anderson in glassine jacket and publisher’s tan card slipcase titled on spine. Housed in a terracotta quarter morocco solander box by the Chelsea Bindery. Illustrated by Henri Matisse. Glassine chipped at edges; case slightly rubbed at joints with some intermittent loss to paper along open edges of case and small abrasion to rear panel, but a fine copy.
