First and only edition. Extremely uncommon, just three locations on Copac (2 – NLS, BL and Oxford); OCLC adds three more copies (Australian Defence Force Academy, Universities of Toronto and Minnesota). “Rich attempts to preserve what information remained concerning events at Sialkot” (Sorsky), Green drawing attention to his use of “survivor’s testaments” (Islam and the Army in Colonial India: Sepoy Religion in the Service of Empire, p. 84).

Octavo (159 98 mm). Contemporary pink cloth-backed green floral sprigged paper boards, ?new endpapers. A little rubbed on the boards, free endpapers browned, toning of the text-block, very good.
