Other Places. Three Plays.
First edition, first impression. With the signed presentation inscription to the actress Anna Massey, “To Anna with love + thanks, Harold”. Massey played the part of Pauline (alongside Judi Dench) in the debut of Pinter’s “A Kind of Alaska”, which is the third in the cycle of three plays included in this volume. Massey was from one of the great theatre families of the 20th century, being the daughter of Raymond Massey and Adrianne Allen. Though she never reached truly stellar fame, Anna Massey was a highly respected actress and very much a prominent feature of the thespian landscape of the late 20th century. In 2004 she was awarded a CBE for her services to drama.
