Blériot Aéronautique – Appareils SPAD; Appareils Blériot; École de Pilotage; Le Palmarès.
A highly attractive gathering of promotional material for Blériot’s production aircraft and flying school from the Golden Age of Aviation, the spectacular pochoirs are a particularly appealing feature. Loosely inserted is an elegantly printed octavo tri-fold card leaflet “Hispano-Suiza Aviation 1914-1919”, which opens to present a Roll of Honour of the aces and fallen of the Allied Air Forces in the First World War.

Quarto. Pinkish textured card portfolio, embossed title and pictorial panel heightened with gilt, containing 4 separate brochures, titled as above, the first 3 in embossed paper wraps, the last a light card bifolium. All feature illustration in some form, the first-named having four very stylish illustrations en pochoir by Hazan, the rest mainly with half-tones from photographs. The portfolio is somewhat rubbed and soiled with some professional restoration to the flaps, but the contents are very good indeed.
