No Goodness in the Worm.
First edition, first impression. The author’s first novel, also published in the US later the same year, was partly based on the illicit relationship between the author (born Ethelwyne Stewart McDowall, she married Hal Taylor in April 1920 and with him co-founded with him the Golden Cockerel Press) and the writer A. E. Coppard. The publisher’s retained copy with their stamp to the front panel of the dust jacket and the front pastedown.
