First edition, first printing. Inscribed by the author “Kate Wiggins’ own copy” on the first blank; a guide to raising children by the noted author of children’s stories best remembered for Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.

Octavo. Original blue-green cloth, spine lettered in black, titles and vignette of skipping girl to front board in black, green-coated endpapers. Library ink-stamp to pastedowns. Spine faded with a few short nicks at ends, corners slightly rubbed, a couple of faint markings to front cover, surface splitting to front inner hinge, front free endpaper with one-inch closed tear at head of gutter. A very good copy.
