BROWN, Margaret Wise.
Little Fur Family.
First edition, first printing, of this charming novelty presentation. “The diminutive 1946 rabbit-fur-bound edition had proven difficult to store (moths got into Harper’s warehouse, destroying a large quantity of the first printing)” (Marcus 33) and later editions had imitation fur or none at all. Margaret Wise Brown was to a degree obsessed with fur, even having some of her personal books covered in rabbit fur.
