A Trojan Ending.
First edition, first impression, of the first novel by poet Laura Riding, an atmospheric tale of Troy, with Cressida (or Chaucer’s “Crisseyde”) as its central heroine. Riding was living with Robert Graves in Deia, Majorca, until the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, and they founded and ran the Seizin Press together. Scarce in this condition.
