The title quickly became one of the most popular cookery books of the 19th century, staying in print until 1890. Uncommonly found as a first edition.

Octavo. Original calf, spine label with titles in gilt, gilt rule to spine. Spotting to pages, some lightly pencilled in notes and ownership signatures to endpapers, front hinge cracked, rear hinge weak, rubbing to corners, loss to head of spine. A good copy.
