Mrs. Rorer’s Key to Simple Cookery.
First edition, first printing. Sarah T. Rorer received her culinary training at New Century School of Cookery, Philadelphia where she went on to teach cookery at the New Century Club. She is considered an American pioneer in the field of domestic science. She also worked on staff for Ladies Home Journal until 1911 when Good Housekeeping retained her services. An uncommon cookery title especially in such collectable condition which was aimed to teach the housewife simple cookery and household kitchen management.
Octavo. Original blue cloth, titles to spine and front board in blue. With the dust jacket. Black and white illustrations. In the dust jacket with very mild wear to extremities. An excellent copy.
