First edition, first impression. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author “To Mr. Edward Budd Jr., very sincerely, Raymond Loewy. April 1937.” A superb association of the author’s first book, a presentation from Loewy, the “Father of Streamlining”, to the man whose company built the legendary Burlington Zephyr in 1934, generally regarded as the first successful streamliner on American railroads.

Octavo. Original grey cloth, spine and front board lettered brown, roundel to front board in brown. Copiously illustrated throughout. Spine toned and cracked but holding, boards a little toned and marked, contents lightly toned. A very good copy.
