On the Ricardian Theory of Value: A Note.
(Offprinted from: Review of Economic Studies (1981) XLVIII, 673-675).
First separate appearance of Pasinetti’s response to a paper of 1981 written by Eygelshoven and Kuipers concerning his 1960 paper A mathematical Formulation of the Ricardian System, in which Pasinetti corrects their notion that he is using a continuous function in his paper. A student of Piero Sraffa at Cambridge, Pasinetti developed one of the first rigorous mathematical formulations of Ricardo’s theory of value and distribution.
