The Natural History of Selborne …
To which are added, The Naturalist's Calendar, Miscellaneous Observations, and Poems. A New Edition with Engravings.
First published in 1789, continuously in print thereafter, and much loved generation after generation; “White’s Natural History of Selborne is open to everyone, for everyone has observed much of what it describes. Writer and reader each share the inheritance of the natural world, and delight in what is given, so that Selborne becomes an expression of universal thanksgiving, treasured by all” (ODNB). A very prettily presented set of this early nineteenth century edition.
