26 volumes, octavo (190 116 mm). Contemporary tan half calf, titles and elaborate decoration to spines in compartments separated by raised bands, marbled boards, endpapers and edges. Illustrated throughout by amongst others Robert Seymour, George Cruikshank, Hablot Knight Browne (Phiz), George Cattermole, John Leech. The occasional minor blemish and some browning to pages, spines and boards slightly rubbed and marked, an excellent set.
