An attractive set of the second edition, third impression; uncommon in the dust jackets. The first edition of Principia Mathematica, “the best-known work in 20th-century logic” (Ency. Brit.), appeared in 1910–13 in a lopsided publication: 750 copies of the first volume in 1910; only 500 each of the later two volumes. The second edition, the first uniform iteration, was published in 1925 with revisions and additions produced solely by Russell, which introduced a new system of logic influenced by both Wittgenstein and Frank Ramsey.
3 volumes, octavo. Original blue cloth, spines lettered in gilt. With the printed dust jackets. Spines rolled and very slightly bumped and faded at extremities. A very good set in the dust jackets with sunned spines and light toning towards a few edges.
