Containing the posthumous fragment of The Figure of Arthur by Charles Williams and a commentary on the Arthurian poems of Charles Williams.
First edition, first impression. “The poet’s own unfinished prose work on the Arthurian Legend is used as the introduction to a detailed commentary on the poems by C. S. Lewis, with whom Williams had fully discussed them in the last years of his life, and a claim is advanced for their profound technical and spiritual importance” (jacket front flap).
