First edition, first impression. 3,400 copies of this edition were printed of which 950 were destroyed. Joyce’s last and most revolutionary novel was begun in 1922, with individual sections published as work in progress during the seventeen years of its composition.
Octavo. Original red cloth, titles to spine gilt, top edge dyed yellow. With the dust jacket. Cloth bright and fresh. An excellent copy in the jacket that is lightly rubbed at the extremities with some nicks at the head of the spine panel and a short closed tear and small crease at the bottom of the upper panel.
