First edition, first impression, of Pound’s first regular book (the two preceding works, A Lume Spento and A Quinzaine for this Yule, being virtually unprocurable), in the second issue binding (with spine titles measuring 1.5 cm instead of 2 cm). 1,000 copies were printed, but the collection sold slowly, and in 1913 Elkin Mathews issued the 500 remaining sheets as a combined issue bound together with remaining sheets of Pound’s Exaltations.
Octavo. Original brown boards, titles to spine and upper board gilt. A fine copy.
