First edition thus, the complete set of Plays for an Irish Theatre; volumes 1-3 are the first UK editions of six of Yeats’s plays, volume 4 is the first UK edition of Synge’s play “The Well of the Saints”, and volume 5 the first edition Yeats’s play “Deirdre”. Scarce complete.

5 volumes, octavo. Original green cloth backed boards, pale blue paper sides, white paper title label to spines. Spines and corners rubbed, general light tanning and a few marks to covers, some spotting or tanning to early and late leaves; overall a good sound set.
