BINDING, Karl, & Alfred Hoche.
Die Freigabe der Vernichtung lebensunwerten Lebens.
Ihr Mak und ihre form.
First edition, a superb copy of this rare and influential work, in which the psychiatrist Hoche (1865-1943) and the lawyer Binding (1841-1920) for the first time explicitly asserted that the killing of people with disabilities, including wounded veterans from the First World War (the care of whom was creating a strain on the German economy), would be justified. This work prepared the way for the Nazi’s euthanasia programs and eventually their monstrous Final Solution to the Jewish question.
