First edition of this extremely uncommon report, print-run of 400, but no copies found on COPAC or OCLC. It seems that apart from providing exercise for the medical units involved, the manoeuvres were intended to test “the capabilities of the divisional train and supply column (mechanical transport) in evacuating wounded during field operations.” Matters that were to become particularly germane in the following years. Issued “For Official Use only,” this copy with the ink stamps and accession docketing of the Royal Army Medical College Library – “Not to be taken from the Library.”

Foolscap quarto. Sewn in the original buff paper wraps, laid down on light archival card. Large folding coloured map at the rear. Wraps restored as noted, light toning, some soiling, else very good.
